As a product of Chicago public schools, I believe in fully funding our neighborhood public schools and ensuring every child has equitable access to the staff, resources and opportunities necessary to thrive in the classroom and in life.

Therefore, Lilian will:

• Fight for equitable dollars for our district’s schools and take on the antiquated funding models that keep underfunding and shutting down our schools, forcing families to leave our neighborhood. 
• Support public school teachers and the additional critical staff our children need to be healthy, safe, and well.
• Defend the elected representative school board that represents the voices of our district; ensuring that immigrant, low-income and linguistically diverse populations are equally represented;
• Support funding for a culturally and linguistically accessible curriculum
