I believe every neighborhood should be a place where our children and community members can play, live, and thrive safely. True safety comes from addressing the root causes of violence, not just the symptoms.

That’s why Lilian will:

  • Invest in our young people through after-school programs and living-wage jobs, creating pathways to opportunity and helping bring peace to our streets.

  • Expand access to mental health resources and reopen public mental health clinics. With over 40% of Chicago’s budget going to policing, we need a system where a social worker responds to mental health emergencies, not armed officers.

  • Fund community-based anti-violence initiatives through a restorative justice approach that centers healing, accountability, and long-term safety.

And while in office, Lilian has already made a difference: she has secured over $200 million in funding for our communities—investing in community-based violence prevention programs, strengthening local schools, and providing critical resources for small businesses that keep our neighborhoods thriving.
