I believe that every job should provide dignity, respect, and fair treatment for workers. Growing up, I watched my father struggle to provide for our family as a low-wage worker without access to benefits or workplace protections. His experience inspired my career fighting greedy corporations and exploitative bosses to make workplaces safer and fairer for everyone.

Lilian has already delivered for workers:

• Championed the Work Without Fear Act, ending discriminatory practices against immigrant workers

• Co-sponsored the Paid Leave for All Act, expanding access to family and medical leave

• Chief Co-sponsor of the Dignity in Pay Act, which would eliminate sub-minimum wages for people with disabilities

And Lilian will continue to fight to:

• End discriminatory practices against immigrant workers

• Ensure every worker has access to paid family and medical leave

• Increase the minimum wage, including eliminating subminimum wages for tipped workers and people with disabilities

• Expand the state’s Department of Labor to comprehensively address workplace abuse and provide stronger protections for all workers
